As a Sr Manager of Site Merchandising, your mission will be to help Target create an online shopping experience that achieves aggressive business growth goals, increases guest love and loyalty for the Target brand, and defines the future of shopping at Target and in the industry.

In this role you will drive digital growth and deliver best in class ecommerce experiences for Target's Beauty & Cosmetics businesses. This role will be charged with delivering a world class digital guest experiences as we seek to accelerate the Beauty & Cosmetics businesses online. This leader will manage a team and lead cross functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize the digital merchandising strategy. You'll develop strategies that drive sales and innovation while creating a fast, fun experience that inspires guest loyalty.

Ideal candidates have strong ecommerce business acumen and analytical skills, can think strategically and manage end-to-end guest experience workstreams, is curious and innovative, has a bias for action and guest obsessed mindset, and can successfully lead and develop own team and influence large cross functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead execution of cross-category digital experience strategies for the enterprise leveraging Target's merchandising, creative, digital marketing, tech, and user experience teams.
  • Focused on optimal guest experience, elevated creative & branding, maximizing guest engagement and shopping experience, and driving enterprise priorities and initiatives against key KPI & financial goals.
  • Identify and financially assess new whitespace opportunities with a focus on leveraging Target's unique combination of merchandise, marketing, content, tech and creative resources.
  • Stay current on the external and competitive landscape, guest sentiment and mindset, industry and digital retail trends to drive evolution of Target's future guest experience.
  • Provide analytical problem-solving expertise and 'end-to-end' ownership of critical on site and app experiences leveraging guest data and site/app metrics.
  • Develop & operationalize processes and tools to integrate into cross functional work enabling the team to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome obstacles.


Team Leadership:
  • Lead a team of site merchandisers in support of the beauty and cosmetics digital experience.
  • Drive team member development, performance, and expectations while expanding team member knowledge base within digital and Site Merchandising.


Partnerships and Influence:
  • Partner with and influence executive leaders across merchandising, marketing, and digital teams, including VP level.
  • Influence and drive teams within and across pyramids (Site Merch, Digital Product, UX, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Social Engagment & BCM) to drive a guest centric approach to the digital experience.

About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of experience within ecommerce, digital media (i.e. Social or SEO), marketing, or merchandising
  • Proven leadership experience, ability to lead and develop high performing team members
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven track record of building strong working relationships with executive leaders across functions and businesses
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, critical thinking & problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, disparate projects across disciplines at the same time, simultaneously managing working team & partners while driving outcomes
  • Strong digital acumen
