MANAGER, SOCIAL CONTENT STRATEGY

About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Target Marketing: Fueling the continued success of one of the world's most beloved and recognized brands is a distinctly capable, creative and innovative Marketing organization. Target Marketing is well known for inspiring and surprising guests, and we pride ourselves on connecting them to the products and experiences they expect and deserve from Target. We study our guests to discover new needs and insights, and then craft every interaction to build brand love. We are market experts who insist on a clear and cohesive understanding of our business objectives, guest segments and behaviors, strategies and tactics, overcoming obstacles and measuring success. Our commitment to partnering both internally and with external agencies gives us a wide range of capabilities, from award-winning creative work to exciting and unique promotional marketing. Leveraging our collective assets and fostering a healthy, supportive and open team culture, we deliver a holistically gratifying experience that guests can only get at Target.

A role with Target Brand + Audience Marketing is an opportunity to create clear and compelling strategies that engage key audiences and drive brand equity and loyalty to increase Target's share of shopping trips. You will apply your deep understanding of the marketing landscape and guest attitudes and behaviors to build industry-leading plans and content to achieve Target's business objectives. You will connect across key partners, including Guest Insights, Media Strategy, Creative, Finance and Project Management. Your deep social expertise will support your assigned strategies to maximize relevance and competitive advantage. Your commitment to partnership and collaboration will rally internal and external partners across functions-from Marketing to world-class agencies to industry influencers. Here, you will be challenged to deliver the compelling, seamless and innovative work that inspires guests to choose Target.

As a Manager, Social Content Strategy, you will drive the development of Target's social content strategy across categories and social platforms. You will leverage guest-led & cultural insights to develop briefs to deliver on the prescribed objectives and audiences for planned campaigns, and tap into real and near-time opportunities within the social and digital landscape to engage guests and new audiences. You will own content planning and timeline mapping from concept to publish for your assigned categories and implement guest-centric editorial content via the established content framework. The Manager will coordinate and manage all go-to-market aspects of both paid and organic social content all the way through to moderation and engagement. You will maintain strong relationships and lead collaboration between internal (media strategy, marketing strategy (BCM), digital, creative, merchandising, legal, PR) and external partners (platforms, creative agencies, media agencies, content creators) to ensure multi-channel integration and a unified brand experience. This role requires deep expertise in cultural trends and social behavior and the ability to balance guests signals with enterprise priorities to create or commission the right content at the right time for guests, leveraging brand, UGC, Influencer and new assets. The Manager will also aggregate and deliver best practices and key learnings (testing results, internal and external market research, guest-level insights and performance metrics) to optimize marketing activities and inform macro strategies that drive emotional connection or action.
