Corporate Tax Admin Summary:

Provide support to the company’s Tax Department. Duties include general clerical and project based work. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized and has the proven ability to improve administrative processes and procedures.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Review of property tax returns for accuracy, process payment requests and filing.
  • Generate reports from SAP system to support tax calculations.
  • Process monthly and quarterly sales/use tax filings and payments.
  • Support, coordination and documentation collection on tax projects.
  • Possible light tax preparation work.
  • File maintenance for the income tax and sales tax returns including file creation and labeling.
  • Process all check requests for the tax department.
  • Pull and review invoices for property tax, sales/Use tax, VAT tax support and audit.
  • Assist with Tax Department budget, process budget request and bills from tax department vendors.
  • Assist the tax professionals with administrative support and assistance with tax projects as needed.
  • Support of Tax Audits to provide requested documents.
  • Coordinate meeting rooms while adapting to last minute changes.
  • Making changes to outdated Samsung address by contacting the states to verify current address is valid.
  • Business license renewals and annual reports – making payments in timely manner to avoid any late payments and ensure the company are in good standing.
  • Provide supporting documents for budget team to ensure all PUMI and budget are approved, such as KPMG BestBuy consulting fees. Follow up on approval path.
  • Process monthly marketing accruals – working with finance team (Vertex integration), marketing team, and occasionally contact vendors when further information needs to be clarified. Reviewing the work with finance team to ensure the tax category is valid by looking further into SOW and contacting the sales representative.
  • Validate address of 1099 forms and information. Working closely with the different vendor teams to promote quick turnaround time to resend the revised 1099 forms.
  • Assisting members of the team to ensure the SUT payments are submitted on time.
  • Making early payments on Anybill (tax bill payments), taking advantage of discounts to save the company money.

    Unclaimed Property Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Nancy and PWC to ensure all filing requirements have been met in timely manner.
  • Payment requests are expedited, if needed, by working with AP and management team to approve payment as soon as possible, providing sufficient documentation.
  •  Generating Proper General PUMI and Purchase Orders:

  • Currently working with AP team to ensure all Purchase Orders are submitted correctly with necessary documents such as:
    1. Proper engagement/SOW
    2. General PUMI if needed, depending on the requirements of the specific GL account number being used.
    3. Assisting other members of the team in ensuring their PUMI/PO’s are approved in timely manner.

      B-Stock Duties:

  • Approving all PO orders provided by the Bstock team.
  • Goal is to ensure orders are released to vendors as quickly as possible since these are auctioned items and funds are already received.
  • PO’s are only approved based on the validity of the Resale Certificates provided by the vendors. The address, name, and currently resale certificates are validated through their website and through due diligence. If insufficient information is provided by the vendor, our responsibility is to quickly reach back to B-Stock to get in contact with vendor to request proper documentation.

    Requirements:

    •             Detail oriented, a team player and possess excellent organizational skills

    •             0-3 years of experience in a tax environment or clerical support position.

    •             Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) – SAP experience a plus

    •             Possesses the ability to follow directions to accomplish goals in an effective manner.

    •             Excellent communication and technology skills.

    •             Ability to manage multiple priorities and be a self-starter
