As a Senior Scrum Master, you are accountable for working with engineering and product teams to deliver capabilities that meet overall business strategy and objectives using Agile methodologies. The key to success of this position is partnering with Product Managers and coaching the engineering team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the backlog and that Agile/Scrum processes are followed to improve team effectiveness.

As a Senior Scrum Master, you'll take the lead as you serve and enable the Product Owner and Development Team in order to deliver on their respective OKRs (Objectives & Key Results). You'll provide support to the team in a way that exemplifies Agile methodologies. Guide and coach the team and organization on how to use agile practices and on how to get the most out of self-organization and how to fill in gaps as they occur. You will assess the agile maturity of the team and organization, and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace. Provide visibility into progress by maintaining backlog, burndown charts, and velocity analysis. You will guide the team to remove impediments through deep understanding of the Product and Team ecosystem, as well as connectivity to key stakeholders. You will build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear, with an emphasis of problem solving and continuous learning and improvement. You will facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. You'll use your skills to initiate discussion, facilitate decision making and conflict resolution in order to drive continuous improvement. You will assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and sharing out information. You'll support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to managing and refining the product backlog, and guide the leaders and team with the creation of a product vision and roadmaps via agile practices (e.g. story mapping). Lastly, you'll understand test-driven development and software test automation processes, and promoting the benefits to the team.

About you:
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience; 2+ years of those as a Scrum Master (or equivalent experience) working in an Agile environment managing product or program initiatives demonstrating effective coordination of engineering, design/UX, and marketing stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and execute on a business strategy
• Current understanding of Agile practices/principles and ability to determine and then apply which Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.) is needed given the maturity and ecosystem of the Team's current state
• Strong communicator; able to build strong relationships with your team, external stakeholders, and leadership
• Experience with Atalassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence) preferred
