About This Opportunity

As a Sr. Engineering Manager, Red Team, you will lead a team of red team security testers in a fast-paced, high-tempo team. The key to the success of this position is having strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail in support of multiple simultaneous operations.

The Target Red Team is responsible for performing adversarial simulation to improve our detection and response capabilities. The Red Team works with our Incident Response team, as well as teams responsible for building and maintaining our detection capabilities to ensure we are prepared to prevent, detect, and respond to real-world adversaries.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage ongoing red team testing, driving best practices and ensuring development of high quality detection and response capabilities
  • Build and lead a team of high-caliber red team testers
  • Drive continuous improvement and continuous learning of the Red Team as well as response teams
  • Partner across multiple teams throughout the enterprise
  • Develop new methods and capabilities for testing in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate threats to Target systems and environments
  • Advocate for resolution of testing results
  • Create and maintain good relationships amongst security and response teams
  • Manage team resources and maintain infrastructure capability


Requirements:
  • 8+ years of information security experience
  • 3+ years of offensive security experience
  • 1+ years of managing information security teams with a strong track record of delivering results
  • Knowledge of common adversaries and adversarial methodologies
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive for completion of high-quality tests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
  • Can draw on examples in their past of how they inspired individuals and teams to accomplish goals greater than was known to be possible at the time
  • Focus toward details during ongoing testing and projects


Desired Qualifications:
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with malware development or malware reverse-engineering
  • Experience performing incident response
  • Experience in DevOps environment
  • OSCP or similar certification
