• Develop and maintain an optimal Personal Care vendor matrix that achieves both short-term and long-term cross functional team strategies that deliver high quality, responsibly sourced, trend right product at a great value for our guests.
• Drive Personal Care sourcing strategy to support strategic business opportunities, country of production assessment, and help Target achieve our financial plans.
• Establish transparent communication and build strong relationships with our overseas partners, cross-functional team, and other stakeholders to ensure best in class sourcing in both product development and program execution.
• Educate cross-functional team on the import and domestic process, product/material knowledge, manufacturing process, vendor matrix and global trends.
• Travel internationally/domestically to assess and build strong vendor partnerships, expand product and production knowledge, and enhance Global Sourcing expertise.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies and lead owned brand product negotiations.
• As the costing expert, utilize available tools to understand all costing components and negotiate the best value, considering a combination of quality and cost for the brand.
• Create accurate annual financial plans by vendor to support future growth and ensure that strategic goals are met.
• Categories within Personal Care include Adult Care, Sanitary Protection, Feminine Care, Eye Care, Foot Care, First Aid, Diabetic, & Diagnostics.

Requirements

• 4 year degree
• 3 - 7 years relevant OTC merchandising and/or sourcing experience
• Flexibility, resiliency, and nimbleness; comfortable working within constant change
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to think strategically and conceptually
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external partners
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills
• Strong analytical and financial skills
