As the Director Benefits Planning and Analysis, you will lead a team that develops and delivers on the Pay & Benefits strategic priorities. Your team leads analysis of current and future benefits programs for all of Target. Other responsibilities include:

  • Lead financial, strategic and statistical analysis involved in designing, developing and managing health and financial well-being programs
  • Recommend investment prioritization based on quantitative and qualitative considerations that align with Target's pay and benefits strategy and differentiates us from competitors
  • Partner with finance in developing a long range financial plan and annual goal that delivers high quality, cost effective and market competitive benefit programs to our team members
  • Establish, monitor, and measure key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness (quality outcomes and cost efficient) of existing and emerging benefits offerings
  • Partner with HR leaders to identify cost savings opportunities to fund future investment in team members and assess analytical needs across Target's portfolio of offerings
  • Conduct annual evaluations of coverage and policies to assess ROI and competitiveness of existing offerings
  • Assess external landscape and engage with peers in the industry to understand competitor, business, and regulatory trends that will inform long term road-map of benefits priorities for Target.
  • Partner with Talent Analytics and Vendors to maintain robust suite of tools and data needed for reporting and analysis
  • Lead, coach and develop a highly motivated team and create the long term vision for team structure and priorities


About you:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience; plus 5+ years HR, Finance or analytics experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high performing teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Results oriented, being able to anticipate key issues and problems and come to resolution quickly
  • Strategic thinker that can effectively present ideas to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think critically and navigate through complex problems, analyze processes, synthesize data and results and drive toward solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
