Position Responsibilities

The Respiratory Care Program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time, Program Director, ranked faculty member. Position offers a 10-month, tenure track contract. Situated in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health ( HSSH ), the Respiratory Care Program has been a leader in respiratory therapy education for more than 45 years. Our faculty work collaboratively to support students who are passionate about social justice and plan to use their education and training to lead and influence positive change in their communities.

Responsibilities Include:
• Fiscal planning, continuous review and analysis of Respiratory Care Program
• Planning, development, and overall effectiveness of the program
• Teach six sections (24 credits) per academic year in both Respiratory Care and Interdisciplinary courses
• Curriculum development and review

Position Qualifications

Required qualifications:
• Master's Degree
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapy ( RRT ) credential and current (or eligible for) MN state license
• Four years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two years in clinical respiratory care
• Two years of experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor

Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate degree (PhD or EDD )
• Previous experience as a Program Director or Director of Clinical Education at a COARC accredited Respiratory Care program

Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to university service. The selected candidate will be responsible for advising undergraduate students and is expected to engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, school, campus, community and professional organizations. Applicants should be prepared to work collaboratively to support students who are passionate about social justice and plan to use their training to lead and influence.
