As a Foundation Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing a new strategic philanthropy portfolio within the Foundation's national domestic focus area of Financial Security and Empowerment. In this position, you will cultivate a wide breadth and depth of knowledge about trends, practices, and issues within the financial inclusion field, build and maintain relationships with grantees and other key stakeholders, and continually evaluate the impact of partnerships and initiatives through learning and measurement plans. As a key member of the Foundation team, you will also contribute to advancing the broader efforts across the Foundation.

  • Design and implement a strategic philanthropic portfolio to support stated objectives and outcomes within the area of financial security & empowerment
  • Drive the portfolio development process, including RFP development, grantee identification, program design, and portfolio selection
  • Engage with other funders, non-profit leaders, and public and private sector stakeholders to achieve and make progress on stated outcomes
  • Develop measurement plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the portfolio, participate in the evaluation of the results and iterate approach as needed based on findings
  • Direct the efficient flow of grants through their life cycles, ensuring proposal and reporting compliance, adherence to grant agreements, and timely and accurate processing
  • Execute vetting process and initial due diligence for identified non-profit/NGO partners
  • Manage portfolio budget allocated to focus area
  • Engage with partners on ongoing basis through online communication, in-person meetings and on-site visits

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • At least 8-10 years of foundation experience or equivalent grantmaking experience
  • Experience working in the private or public sector on issues of financial inclusion or the future of work
  • Demonstrated success working across sectors including coalition building with national non-profits, business and government
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a comprehensive philanthropic portfolio in alignment with key company issues and relevant societal needs
  • Strong knowledge of social and environmental issues and stakeholder landscapes
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Successful experience in identifying, cultivating and growing high-profile partnerships, experience with public-private partnerships a plus
  • Proven problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and out-side of the box thinking skills - connecting dots and translating ideas into action
  • Proven ability to collaborate and engage with external partners (e.g., NGOs, foundations and other corporate foundations)
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies against one or more societal issue
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning and project management experience and ability to work independently, including the ability to multi-task and manage demands and/or projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills and a good team player
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
