Pro Staff has partnered with a company in the Ramsey area to search for a Finishing Operator to join the team!

2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am Sunday-Thursday

Pay: $14-$14.50/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

·         Read Rx and verify posers, thickness, lens style, etc.

·         Spot and mark lenses and place in appropriate position on job tray

·         Discard old lenses when warranty is used

 

Secondary Duties

Cross-train in other positions and help in other areas of the department as needed

Perform post final inspection as needed

Assist in breakage entry and re-dos

Clear tray of sample lenses or notes before sending for wash up

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

 

Experience

 

·         Must understand optics and be able to read Rx

·         Finish lab experience is required

·         Must have a working knowledge of optical lab production processes

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Ability to read prescriptions

·         Math skills

·         Able and willing to work as a team

·         Able to read and write English language well

·         Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience

·         Work without supervision

·         Must be available to work overtime and Saturdays when needed

 

Physical Requirements

·         Stand, walk, reach with hands and arm, talk and hear 

·         Frequently required to use hands to manipulate, handle or feel

·         Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

·         Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

·         Specific vision abilities; close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

Safety Requirements

·         Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program

·         Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals

·         Closed toe shoe required with heel support

·         Must use proper ergonomics when lifting

·         Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts 

·         The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

·         Must wear safety glasses and protective gear as required
