The School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a Tenure Track Electrical & Computer Engineering (Open-rank) faculty member to begin in the fall semester of 2020.

The candidate will be expected and encouraged to grow a research program that engages undergraduate and Master's students and collaborates with local industries. The current research activities in the ECE department include power systems, microgrids, embedded computing including IoT systems, artificial intelligence, wearable electronics, low-power medical instrumentation, and energy storage for sustainability among many others. The School of Engineering actively seeks to attract, retain and develop faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds to enhance the diversity of the learning community, and to offer our students richly varied perspectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

A PhD (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Electrical, Computer or a relevant Engineering discipline is required for tenure track positions. Candidates which are ABD will be considered with clear evidence of PhD completion by May 2020. All applicants must have demonstrable skills necessary for excellence in teaching.

ECE Department is looking to strengthen its offerings in areas of sensing, IoT networks and/or Embedded Systems. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and provide undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise, and provide service to the department, university, and profession.
