About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers. Target as a tech company? Absolutely. We're the behind-the-scenes powerhouse that fuels Target's passion and commitment to cutting-edge innovation. We anchor every facet of one of the world's best-loved retailers with a strong technology framework that relies on the latest tools and technologies-and the brightest people-to deliver incredible value to guests online and in stores.

Digital Security is a DevOps engineering team that builds first-of-its-kind security products and services for the enterprise. As a member of this innovative agile team you will be collaborating regularly with Digital, Infrastructure, and other Security groups to develop new capabilities that are focused on protecting the Digital guest and optimizing security services and tools for product teams. In this CI/CD workspace you will be charged with constructing and integrating solutions with many popular Open Source technologies, internally developed applications and cloud native services. To succeed in this role, you will need to be courageous, eager to learn, able to work through ambiguity, effectively communicate (written and verbal), problem solve, and foster idea generation.

Here's a smattering of approaches that are important to us and the technologies this team uses:
• Everything we do is "as-code" in version controlled releases through a continuous integration process
• Everything we build and maintain is secure by design
• All services and efforts are simplified and optimized through automation
• Kubernetes, Docker, RPMs, Spinnaker, Drone, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, Fastly, Shape, APIs, Micro-Services, Graphite, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Kafka, Artifactory, GitHub, Chef, Terraform, Consul, Vault, InfluxDB, Kapacitor, GoLang, Python, Java, Scala, Rust

About you:
• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of software development experience and full-stack engineering
• Passionate about innovation and enjoys the challenges of creating something new
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in core development platforms
• Writes and organizes code using multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Advocates CI/CD best practices and is comfortable with the many supporting technologies
• Delivers high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad impact (high throughput and low latency)
• Designs new testing methods and resolves routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistance
• Displays strong technical and thought leadership skills
• Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and finds value and methods for up-skilling others
• Builds commitment within the team to support the appropriate priorities
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of the impact of own work
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
