A Milwaukee area manufacturer of custom material handling equipment, has immediate openings for first shift Welder-Fitters.
Primary responsibilities:
A Milwaukee area manufacturer of custom material handling equipment, has immediate openings for first shift Welder-Fitters.
Primary responsibilities:
- Fabricate & weld both crane suspended and floor-based material handling devices.
- Assist team of other fitters, as required, to complete large fabrication projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering on modifications / upgrades of new designs or units returned for repair. Best qualified candidates will have:
- Working knowledge of standard welding / fabrication equipment and measuring tools.
- Experience with heavy fabrication of welded steel structures.
- Certificate or capable of passing welding certification test for AWS D1.1 (flat, horizontal positions to unlimited thickness) using SMAW and GMAW processes.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- High school diploma or equivalent
