A role in Target's Food Supply Chain is a chance to truly serve our guests with speed, freshness and quality. We strengthen the efficiency of product delivery and partner across Target's Global Supply Chain to provide the highest quality food products to our guests-on time, every time. Here, your role might be extracting business insights from data, solving problem statements, conducting gap analysis and recommending focus areas for leadership. Or you'll be an inventory management resource whose specialized point of view informs what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll leverage inventory positioning to achieve the best possible product availability, and establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time delivery. Or join our team in a food distribution center where you're on the very front lines of getting product to the guest as fast as possible-a critical differentiator that keeps Target guests coming back for more.

As a Director of Supply Chain: Engineering & Facilitiesyou will be responsible for strategic planning and leading initiatives to help our teams realize value from our supply chain assets across our network. Examples of areas of accountability include Equipment Management, Material Handling, Field Engineering leadership, Program Strategy, Vendor Strategy and Engagement, and Capital Expense management.Successful individuals will also develop strong partnerships with internal information technology teams and external vendors to ensureend-to-end stable systems and support.You will also be responsible for leading a team of engineering team members.

About you:

  • Four-year degree in relevant technical or engineering field
  • 10+ years of Industrial or Reliability Engineering, or facilities maintenance management experience
  • Significant experience supporting or installing material handling equipment
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Maximo


  • Ability to break down elements of maintenance Operational Excellence from the foundation (PM, CM, asset profiling, MAXIMO, etc. in support of "asset health") to value generation (usage and continuous improvement)
  • Strong analytic thought leadership around predictive analytics & business case development
  • Demonstrated ability to create and refine a long-term vision and strategy in support of asset value extraction
  • Capability to drive change management across different levels of the organization
  • Displays a strong leadership presence and ability to navigate through complex situations
