The Item Center of Excellence is the team that sets up and maintains each and every item at Target. Here, you'll contribute to the end-to-end attribute and product content collection for all items while ensuring data quality improvements and measurements. You'll also analyze digital content, provide enterprise-wide data project management, strategically influence the development of new technology and engage with a diverse set of cross-functional partners from throughout the enterprise on the successful execution of new brand launches and programs.

As an Item Data Analyst, you'll take the lead as you...

  • Improve daily team operations by becoming an expert on Item Setup and using that knowledge to support a broad Item Data Specialist team. Provide coaching on prioritization, efficiency, accuracy, and partner engagement to strengthen the business unit and vendor interactions. Report team performance and use data to coach others to deliver on enterprise KPIs.

  • Drive operational excellence by using business and process expertise to influence item setup processes and business rules to deliver quality data to downstream consumers. Actively identify efficiencies to improve item setup interactions within the company and remove obstacles for the item teams.

  • Support a cross functional team by continuously evolving key partnerships with core stakeholder teams to manage and improve item data and the site experiences. Drive strategic, cross functional data initiatives to drive experiential and operational effectiveness as identified by Item Data Manager.


About you:
  • 4 year college degree or equivalent operations experience
  • Ability to communicate to partners across all levels, both internal and external to Target
  • Strong presence, meeting management and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong commitment to quality and productivity measurements and controls.
  • High level of initiative
