As a Visual Strategy Lead, your role will be critical to the implementation of our In-Store Marketing initiatives that align to our Visual Merchandising Strategy across all stores.
The Visual Merchandising team establishes their expertise within Store Operations by partnering with cross functioning teams within Merchandising, Marketing and our HQ Visual Merchandising Office to develop tools, resources, and training of all visual work occurring in stores within Apparel & Accessories (A&A), Home, Company Space, and any visual moment spaces in stores. You will be responsible for leading strategic partnerships and supporting the development of a long-term plans to position Visual Merchandising for future growth. You will lead current in store execution initiatives, support the timing, process, and cost efficiencies, and build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you'll ensure in store execution aligns to business goals and maintains safety, legal & patent guidelines, and Target brand standards. Here, you'll balance efficiency with effectiveness as you oversee the implementation and for all In-Store Marketing deliverables. You will use data from sales, brand performance, domo, other metrics and research to inform teams' strategies and work. Acting as a Visual Merchandising advocate for stores, you will support and lead store visits to assess, solicit feedback, and identify ways to reduce store expense and rework, simplify processes and answer questions. You will be the trusted expert to leadership for your business areas, will use strong project management skills to meet deadlines, and hold clients accountable. Lastly, you will support the development of process documentation and guides used to select, hire, and performance manage the visual merchandising skill and visual work implementation in the field across stores. About you:
- Four-year degree or other technical degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of related work experience as a visual merchandiser and/or manager in specialty retail and/or Target store; knowledge of design, fashion trends, and products
- Proven experience in retail merchandising strategies, customer service principles, and the ability to execute visual merchandising efforts that support an active selling environment
- Ability to collaborate and influence partners to drive superior execution of visual merchandising priorities; able to influence decisions that affect visual merchandising standards and execution
- Experience in providing performance feedback on visual merchandising initiatives, identifying opportunities for improving results, and providing solutions to store-specific visual and merchandising challenges
- Demonstrated experience in cross-functional planning and execution
