A Product owner role with the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence (COE) means you're on a mission with merchants to develop the enterprise-­wide pricing and promotion strategies. Your work will impact millions of dollars in the form of everyday retail prices, promotional strategy and effectiveness, clearance management and competitive pricing. Here, you'll be a key business consultant to merchants and develop relationships with buyers, senior buyers and leaders. Your strong partnership with Marketing, Digital and Stores teams will bring offers to life for guests, and you'll also work closely with Store Operations, Finance and other key support areas.

About the Job:

The Pricing & Comp IntelInsights Product is responsible for developing and integrating ourpricing and comp inteldata across the enterpriseto deliver competitive insights, price decision enhancements, product health assessments andto enable decision support, pricingeffectiveness, and operational efficiency. This data informs both strategic and tactical decisions thatare foundational to enabling the team to more efficientlydecide the best pricingfor Target and our guests.

This role requires a deep understanding of ourpricingstrategies andoperationsas well ashow to use comp intel data to measure pricing positions.This requires the ability to clearly articulate complex information across a broad spectrum of stakeholders to effectively drive decisions, evangelize the Product and leverage pricing results thatinfluence our strategy,Productdecisions, guest experience and financial outcomes.

The primarypartners for this Product are cross-functionalPPCoEProduct Owners,Pricing Operations, Comp Intel Operations, Everyday Pricing Insights,PPCoEStrategy, Data Analytics and Data Science, and Sr. Leadership across thePPCoE.

Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.

As a Lead Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as, customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the "voice of the product" to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as, inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours. About you:

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of retail experience or equivalent domain experience(pricing/promotions experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills tofacilitate communication between business, data science andtechnology teams
  • Proven abilityto lead & influence cross-discipline,global teamsand cross-functional partners
  • Experience with complex analytics, data science, data visualization, technology
  • Experiencebuilding bigdata driven products & working knowledge ofmodels in Machine Learning
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
