Production is an integral part of Target's Marketing Team and is leveraged for static and video production services. We partner with teams across the company to bring the Target Brand to life.

As a Lead 3D Artist, you will bring the Target Brand to life by being a part of a global production team responsible for leading resources in solving challenging technical issues in the 3D asset pipeline.

Consistently produce high quality, photo-realistic 3D product and lifestyle imagery under tight production deadlines.

Provide creative and technical leadership across projects, provide technical expertise where required to maximize quality and efficiency across production.

Leads development and implementation of continuous process improvements for 3D production in service of all internal and external creative production; appropriately champions and drives change management within team and with key partners.

Work closely with Sr Manager of 3D operations and production to establish and guide others on best methods.

Lead, influence and collaborate with art directors, stylists, retouchers and artists on the look and feel for 3D renderings, workflow and other new capabilities.

Influence and work closely with project managers, producers and the broader creative organization.

Identify high potential individuals and develop avenues for growth. Conversely, work with low performers to improve performance.

Research cutting edge approaches to 3D content creation in support of the creative process from a usability standpoint.

Excellent creative and technical problem solving skills.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in 3D art, design, computer science or equivalent.
  • 7+ years in architectural visualization or in creating photo realistic 3D imagery.
  • Experience with 3D and post-production software (Autodesk 3DsMax, V-Ray, Corona, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop/Substance Painter).
  • Experience influence, communicating and driving change across organizational and cross functional boundaries.
  • Must be well-rounded in modelling, texturing, surfacing, and animation.
  • Expert in creating both high-poly assets, experience in creating low-poly assets is a plus.
  • Understanding of 3D scanning and AR/VR technologies and workflows is a plus
  • Experience in performance managing and motivating others.
  • Action oriented, with ability to prioritize and drive results.
  • Exhibits integrity, creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to facilitate and clarify project expectations, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity.
