A role within Roundel is an opportunity to be part of a strategic priority business for Target. Roundel is Target's entry into the media business, a sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. Clean and articulate documentation skills are necessary to collect connect and coordinate across all the teams, systems and people that play critical roles in your ability to deliver. You will be part of a team that manages all Roundel Clients and will have access to other thought leaders and experts working on similar work streams.

In this role, you will:
  • Use your extensive experience and talent to be a part of a ground-breaking team focused on selling best in class, data-first Marketing Technology to progressive, US based Brands and Media platforms like Google, Disney, Pinterest and many more.
  • Consistently present clients with sound analytical insights, progressive strategic plans and a clear vision through all stages of the sales and implementation process
  • Lead other Solution Consultants and Account leads on troubleshooting and brainstorming sessions
  • Lead the discovery of business opportunities with key partners
  • Embrace and demonstrate a fail fast, Agile attitude
  • Independently design improvements to existing systems, and work to implement them
  • Understand, with great detail, the complex and unique world of Marketing Technology and Target's unique products
  • Champion proper analytical methodology (Test VS Control, Multi-variate, ...)
  • Independently collaborate with marketing agencies and external Marketing Tech companies
  • Explore and understand a Customers current marketing eco-system and how Roundel can help them along their journey
  • Work with finance and sales to ensure resource allocation aligns with Roundel goals
  • Provide thought leadership and peer coaching
  • Travel to top tier customers is expected
  • Design custom and progressive technology and marketing solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
  • Translate customer business needs into plans that leverage Roundel Products
  • Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance
  • Able to use your technical skills to demonstrate and explain complex ideas to potential customers and internal teams
  • Be someone who loves to acquire large bodies of knowledge and share what they know
  • Excellent analytical, time management, collaboration and problem-solving skills

About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in communication, technology or engineering
  • At least 5 years in Client Support or Product Innovation roles
  • At least 3 years of experience in querying and analyzing and working with data languages and platforms (SQL)
  • Ability to collaborate and ideate on the fly, this includes white boarding, technical design documents and other constructive conversation
  • Knowledge of Big Data and Cloud Architecture - GCP, AWS, Hadoop
  • Good people and sales skills are essential. The type of personality which makes for a good engineer is markedly different from that which makes for good sales people. The successful Solution Consultant (sales engineer) has the traits of both types - an uncommon mix

Bonus Points
  • Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and product design
  • 3+ years of experience working with Agile development methodologies
  • Has extensive knowledge of Mar Tech and scientifically advanced data products
  • Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
