Machine Operator- Back Side Coating
Hours: Training will be on 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm M-F and will eventually move to a 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm M-F
Starting Pay: $14/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Duties Operator machine to apply Back Side Scratch Coating to lenses Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris Make sure lenses are returned to proper tray Inspect lens for defects after applying coating Reject bad coating on lenses Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room Secondary Duties Maintain the machine clean inside and out Check waste water, DI water, coating level and air pressure (check 40-45 psi) Assists Tint operator Help in other areas when needed Help to maintain trays clean and in good condition Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desired Able and willing to work as a team Basic Math Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed Able to read and write English Language well Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately Basic Computer skills (Windows, MS Office) Experience or knowledge working with automated equipment Problem solving skills Work without constant supervision Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time Ability to lift 10lbs
