Contract opportunity for a Financial Writer

Our client in the Chicagland area is looking to add additional freelancers to their list of professionals who they can call upon for various financial writing assignments.  Work is part-time and will not lea to a permanent role so this is ideal for true freelance professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interviewing clients’ marketing team and research topics provided by the financial experts
  • Select content to support marketing goals
  • Create detailed outlines and turn into content pieces including whitepapers, blogs, microsites, infographics, presentations, quarterly newsletters, case studies and social media
  • Edit and proofread as needed
  • Ideal Firm Experience:  Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Blackstone, Bridgewater, Cowen & Company, Goldman Sachs, Harris Williams, Houlihan Lokey, JP Morgan, Lazard, Lincoln International, Jefferies, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte,McKinsey, PWC, Mercer, Boston Consulting Group, Bain Consulting, Vanguard, Apollo, The Carlyle Group, Vista Equity Partners

    Our client is seeking the following on a resume:

  • 10+ years of experience working in the financial services industry; preferably with 5+ years working in a role that is product-focused or client-facing
  • Heavy knowledge in one or more of the following areas: institutional asset management; investment banking; auditing and accounting; consulting; private wealth management
  • Ability to confidently lead interviews with corporate executives, portfolio managers, bankers, analysts, and other accomplished financial professionals
  • MBA and/or CFA, CPA, or CFP designationpreferred
  • Project lengths will vary from assignment to assignment based on the need
