We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This is an entry level position that will be responsible for assisting with the daily Accounts Payable functions and the month-end closing process. This position will provide basic accounting, administrative and internal control support

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to the Accounts Payable function
  • Review and verify the accuracy of invoice coding, account classifications, and journal entries;
  • research and resolve discrepancies as needed

  • Assist with reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Assist with answering vendor inquiries
  • Assist in the preparation of vendor list for 1099 processing
  • Obtain required payable information from new vendors
  • Assist with monthly closings
  • Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned
  • Skills and Qualifications

    A degree in Accounting / Finance or one year of accounting support experience.

  • Must be skilled in Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Professional & high integrity standards
  • Ability and desire to perform several tasks concurrently
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking, problem solving skills and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
