Minnesota State University, Mankato is seeking applications for a Building Maintenance Supervisor/Power Plant Chief Engineer position (Job ID: 41234).

This position exists to provide leadership and supervision for safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of the central utility distribution systems including the high pressure boiler plant, chiller plant, and campus HVAC systems. Required qualifications are as follows: Class B Chief Engineer license. Thorough knowledge of the steam, cooling, and power generation facilities and operations. A universal refrigeration certification. Considerable experience and knowledge relating to the materials, equipment, machinery, and tools used in the operations and maintenance of campus systems. Ability to work well in a large and complex organizational environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with, or ability to learn, content of key bargaining agreements. Knowledge of essential regulations and other licensing requirements that apply to the University. Ability to coordinate with all University departments so that both routine work and special projects proceed smoothly. Sufficient computer skills to maintain and update computerized maintenance management system database records. Ability to plan, layout and sketch maintenance and repair details.
