Product Development & Design Strategy comprises project managers, operations managers and innovation strategists. As a project manager, you'll lead a cross-functional team in the creation and ownership of product development and the execution of project plans. You'll also drive results by working across the business to develop products and manage resources. As an operations manager, you'll support strategic initiatives and improvements for the PD&D organization and its cross-functional teams. You'll also manage the PD&D technology portfolio and Spark system. As an innovation strategist, you'll connect the right people and resources to create the human-centric experiences that attract new guests and generate business value. Here, you'll solve complex merchandising and enterprise problems through a broad range of innovations. Your positive influence will help reframe problems, explore new possibilities and create guest experiences only found at Target.

As a Sr. Product Development Specialist, you will support the Technical Design Product development teams by coordinating the administration of samples, artwork, trim, handlooms, wash submits, and objectives. You'll gain knowledge of Technical Design, Product Development through hands on sample management aided by systems such as Spark. In addition, you will be responsible for ordering, organizing and tracking samples for PD&D and the cross-functional team, as well as validating that all sample feedback has been provided to Vendors on product changes and updates. You'll maintain up-to-date tracking reports, follow up on outstanding samples as requested, and maintain sample storage and retention. Finally, you will assist with general office duties and team support, which includes creation of books/files, team mail, visitor check in, and report distribution.

About You:

· High School Diploma or equivalent/ Two or four year degree or equivalent (desired)

· Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills

· Ability to work independently with limited direction and in a collaborative team environment.

· Strong interpersonal skills. Is able to work effectively to manage relationships with team and key business partners/technical resources/subject matter experts to obtain accurate information to support the data validation and creation efforts

· Respects the guidelines, requirements and protocols for enduring the security and confidentiality of all product information considered proprietary

· Task and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks; flexibility, independence and a high degree of initiative

· System/Technology Aptitude with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
