Last Mile Transportation at Target is responsible for moving E-Commerce shipments from our unique Omnichannel fulfillment network to our Guests' homes. More than 80% of that volume originates in over 1400 of our Stores making Target the largest volume true Omnichannel shipper out there. Servicing the transportation out of that huge distributed network and high volumes means a simultaneous microscopic attention to day to day detail as well as the ability to step back think strategically in order to drive change within Target and with our carriers to fully leverage our Stores as Hubs strategy and provide maximum Best in Class Guest Experience.

As a Lead Project Manager SC, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence within the ship from store execution team. You will need to build and maintain relationships with store partners, carrier partners, and other various HQ teams. Strong problem solving skills, ability to use data to make decisions, and being a collaborative team player are must have skills. It is also important that you be comfortable with rapid change and working ambiguously as digital demand continues to grow and the need for developing creative solutions with out of the box thinking is imperative to continue to meet guest's expectations.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience driving results of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through 3rd Party Logistics partners
  • Business relationship building / engagement within the transportation industry
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Transportation management experience preferred
