Position Description

This position is responsible to plan, document, coordinate, architect and lead all activities related to the standards, implementation and integration of cloud application and integration technology adoption, architecture and roadmap in partnership with the Enterprise Architect and Delivery Lead. Drive cost effective, highly leveraged, repeatable and scalable solutions while reducing complexity and meeting high levels of security standards. Collaborate with business partners, leadership, technical teams, and end-users to successfully develop and implement UCare applications.

• Provide architectural leadership and guidance and represent application and middleware domains when participating in enterprise architecture forum.

• Create and maintain domain design architecture, approaches and prescriptions as enterprise architecture standards.

• Lead and drive solutions with engineering team input in an open, candid, collaborative and engaging environment.

• Own and document architecture decisions and remove technical obstacles to achieve timely delivery of program portfolio projects.

• Prototype proposed solutions as a proof of concept with engineering team.

• Partner closely with enterprise domain architects and portfolio solution architects to ensure enterprise architecture best practices are followed.

• Partner with platform delivery lead to develop roadmap to drive implementation and adoption of cloud technologies

• Champion cloud first and cloud migration strategies

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Engineering or other closely related technical degree.

Required Experience

Ten years of IT Architecture experience; including a minimum of five years of experience implementing cloud application and integration technology in MS Azure and a minimum of five years of Software Engineer Lead. Experience working with cloud architecture patterns, principles and governance practices

Experience with Azure capabilities such as: AD, managing network virtualization, firewall and automation (CI/CD), storage, key vault concepts and ARM templates, cloud monitoring. Proficiency with the following MS Azure capabilities such as: event grid and message queuing, service fabric and kubernetes, logic apps, service bus, APIM, DevOps.

Preferred Experience

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
