As Communication Operations & Analytics BP, this individual is responsible for leading the Operations work for the Target Communications team, inclusive of oversight of team resources and tools, agency and vendor support and team best practices and processes. In addition, Target Communications is working to expand its use of data and analytics, and the Communication Operations & Analytics BP will play an exciting role in implementing new approaches to leveraging data to inform program planning, execution and measurement.

Responsibilities include:
  • Oversight of all tools and services used across the Communications team, including Cision, PR Newswire, SAP, Critical Mention, Salesforce and more
  • Agency and vendor management, including agency onboarding, agency setup, performance assessments, vendor risk and troubleshooting
  • Development of new processes to create a data-driven approach to the planning and execution of communications strategies
  • Development and maturation of measurement and reporting capabilities for the Communications team
  • Management of several team reports, including the Board of Directors media summary, Weekly Communications Recap and daily media coverage report
  • Oversight of the Communications team budget (planning, forecasting and troubleshooting) and SOW process
  • Onboarding of new Communications team members to tools and best practices
  • Management of Sample Office contractors


About you:

The individual in this role should have:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience working with data and analytics to report on program performance
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to work with team members across a variety of communications functions
  • General knowledge of the communications field and/or media relations as we work to better leverage data to inform planning and execution of communications plans
  • The ability to proactively manage multiple projects independently, including troubleshooting issues with urgency and meeting deadlines
