JOIN US AS A DATA ANALYST - MERCH / FOOD AND BEVERAGE
About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.
Behind one of the world's best loved brands is a uniquely capable and brilliant team of data analysts. The Target Merchant Analytics team creates the tools and data products to sustainably educate and enable our business partners to make great data-based decisions at Target. We are experts in data sourcing, data visualizations, and providing action oriented insights used by clients throughout the enterprise. We also play a key role in identifying the test-and-measure or A/B test opportunities that continuously help Target improve the guest experience, whether they love to shop in stores or at Target.com.
OVERVIEW
As a Data Analyst, you'll be part of an agile analyst team, supporting Target merchandising by actively exploring data and sourcing it for specific use cases. You would join and create measureable insights from the data to be shared; development of metrics, reports and statistics. You would document calculations, code and adhering to data management principles and validating and testing data assets of others in the form of peer review. You would explore statistical analysis that could be applied to the data. Help in performing descriptive statistics including mean, variance, median correlation. Train and communicate output to users to gather feedback and apply insights and testing in partnership with business users. In addition, active participation in team meetings, support agile ceremonies and train other data analysts on technical solutions. You'll work directly with managers, engineering and business users to gain insight and access to relevant data. You'll engage with product owners and users to deliver completed work. Develop additional metrics and insights that advance user stories via data discovery and enrichment. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
