Looking for your next Service Technician role? Pro Staff Plymouth as an opening in Brooklyn Center for skilled a Technician, paying $19+ on first shift!

This person will start in assembly and onsite repairs before training into offsite/customer installation and service.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take customer order from inside salesperson or branch manager. Fill order and deliver to customer. If any accessories are left at job site that are not on the delivery ticket, note it on the delivery ticket and have customer sign ticket.
  • If required, install equipment. Service technician is not to hook up power cord of rental unit into any customer distribution power panel or generator. Can run extensions cords and plug in 115 V equipment into wall receptacle.
  • For heating equipment run temporary hoses from equipment to hook-up to natural gas or propane sources. Do not do hook-up, that is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Able to clean chillers and large air conditioning equipment.
  • Able to pull required accessories from inventory to ship with chiller or large AC order.
  • Assist and/or load chillers and large air conditioning equipment.
  • Able to start-up and troubleshoot oil fired heating equipment.
  • Able to trouble shoot and repair Air Conditioning equipment including repairing and charging refrigerant circuits.
  • Run flexible ductwork as required for temporary application.
  • Use appropriate PPE and fall protection as necessary.
  • Do not use customer’s lifts to perform any work unless driven by an authorized person at the job site. Fall protection as required.
  • Do equipment start-up. If access to equipment power control panel is required and electricity must be on while inside control cabinet where appropriate arc flash PPE as per our Electrical Safety Policy.
  • Do service repairs as required. Again, all appropriate PPE must be worn.
  • When customer is done with equipment, pick-up equipment from customer location, noting what equipment was returned. If there are any missing items communicated it to customer and have him/her sign pick-up ticket with notation of what is missing.
  • Do equipment reconditioning as per reconditioning work instructions for that type of equipment. Complete any checklist as required.
  • Able to complete and carry an MSHA mine safety certificate for working on surface mines that are renting our products, if applicable.
  • Put equipment away in Branch warehouse.
  • And any other duties assigned.

    Education/Skill Requirements:

     

  • Minimum of two years similar experience.
  • Must have 2-year HVAC certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test to be able to drive our vehicles.
  • Must also have a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Must possess ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting practices.
