Controls Engineer

TEAM Industries, Inc. has an opening in Bagley, Minnesota for a Controls Engineer. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of the electrical control systems and mechanisms, relying on a sound understanding of vehicle systems and vehicle drivetrain, to contribute to the development and support of products that integrate electric motors and controls, power converters, and electrical system architecture.  Specifically, the responsibilities of the Controls Engineer lie in integrating electronics and controls with mechanical drive-train systems, creating vehicle propulsion systems and electro-mechanical subsystems such as actuators. Creating mechanical design documents and designing and/or specifying controllers and transmission control units (TCUs). Maintaining technical files. Creating mechanical models and simulations of the vehicle systems. Preparing engineering reports.  Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, plus one (1) year of experience as a manufacturing engineer or a mechatronic engineer designing and operating transmissions and/or transaxles used in snowmobiles, utilizing MatLab/Simulink for algorithm design and calibration tools such as CANape or PiSnoop.  Qualified applicants should send resumes and cover letter to Carri Pickett at carripickett@team-ind.com.
