A role with Pay and Benefits is all about the numbers. You'll produce extensive benchmarking, rigorous market research and benefits analysis to inform the right compensation mix for roles across the company. Your point of view will be directly applied keeping Target competitive and standing out in the sea of other places candidates can choose. You'll develop great relationships with our vendors to get the most out of our systems and resources. And you'll help team members understand their benefits and how to maximize them.

As a Senior Benefits Business Partner, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of our well-being onsite care and support services for Target team members. The role supports our health well-being strategies, helping to execute programs including:
  • Onsite clinics within Target headquarters
  • Field health programs & initiatives (e.g. fitness challenges, tobacco cessation programming)
  • Preventive care programs (e.g. flu vaccinations)

The role works closely with the broader well-being team to ensure program strategies and vendor solutions align with overarching Pay & Benefits' team goals. The Senior Benefits Business Partner owns the operational planning of these programs and services, serving as the main point of contact with vendors and partners, helping to solve problems, gather utilization data and feedback, seek areas to improve processes, manage vendor contracting including internal approval processes, and identify gaps in programs and services today. Additionally, the candidate plays an important role in partnering with, and influencing, other Target partners and internal teams to ensure a seamless, best-in-class experience for our team members and their families.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in human resources, healthcare and/or public health
  • Knowledge of health benefits and well-being programs, clinical or healthcare expertise desired
  • Vendor program management experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and manage projects with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of budget management practices
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of team members about benefits
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
