Well known global company is seeking a Creative Project Manager with EXTENSIVE Direct Mail experience to oversee multiple campaigns, on a freelance basis with the hopes of converting at some point.  This role is a true Project Manager position where you will be tapped to perform the following functions:

Extensive experience managing all aspects of direct mail campaigns from the writing of the creative brief all the way through the print process – managing 5-9 campaigns at a time with multiple variations resulting in 20 campaigns at a time on the high end for 6 different countries Handling the execution of direct mail campaigns in multiple markets. This involves working on multiple project components on varying timelines. Conducting analysis of said direct mail campaigns as well as ad-hoc analysis. Ideating implementation of that data to improve channel performance on a basic/intermediate level analysis. For advanced analysis they would drive the project with other more advanced teams like BI (Business Intelligence) and marketing science. Driving the creation of direct mail collateral (letters, postcards, brochures, envelopes, etc.). Working with design teams (internal + external) on briefs to write, design and produce collateral. Legal approval. Working with data vendors on audience targeting, audience segmentation, delivery to printers, backend analysis and ad-hoc analysis. Print production management. Requesting and comparing pricing quotes. Collateral creation, coordination, delivery and proofreading. Vendor management - Relationship building, ensuring vendors work is accurate and SOPs are followed. Monitoring channel finances. Tracking and logging of budget, actual spend, quote submissions with procurement, payment status with vendors. Monitoring channel + campaign performance. Tracking, logging and analysis of campaign performance, test performance. Running data queries and creating dashboards. Cross-team communication/updates. Sales, CS, INTL, Marketing. Secondary needs will center around the strategic side of direct mail:  Designing complex tests and how to measure them   Defining audience targeting & segmentation Ideate on how to improve response while lowering costs Roadmapping Annual planning involvement (spend levels) Nice to haves: Querying language knowledge. Internal language is based off SQL JIRA software HTML/CSS/WordPress - Very light webpage work. Modifying text, format, images, colors, etc. - No "creation" Graphic design (Adobe Suite) - Very light InDesign work. Modifying text, format, images, colors, etc. - No "creation" Email marketing experience  

What are we looking for in a professional:

MIN 5-7  years of RECENT experience managing direct mail campaigns Account Manager or Project Manager experience as this is NOT a Marketing Manager role Campaign life cycle from creative brief delivery to print and postage

 

This is a full time, remote freelance opportunity where you will be expected work and be available Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.  Our client is located in Central Time Zone and you will be asked to be available during their standard business hours.  While on assignment, Digital People is excited to be able to offer you BCBS Insurance along with Vision, Dental and 401K
