Transportation's role in Supply Chain is criticalas it enables getting inventory into our network (First Mile), moving inventory within our network (Middle Mile), and delivering goodsto theGuest (Last Mile). The TTOPS team is responsible for the delivery of product outcomes which enable the strategic priorities set by our Transportation andbroaderSupply Chain teams.We're looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity.

About the job:

As a Lead Product Owner in transportation, you'll be responsible for creating capabilities to improve the speed, visibility, accuracy, and precision of Target's supply chain. You will define and facilitate implementation of new technology solutions to onboard and integrate withinternal and external partners/systemssupporting the movement ofgoods within Target's domestic network segments.

The scope of this role spans the domestic inbound network, specifically domestic shipment booking and scheduling.Capabilities and accompanying technology currentlyexistsacross each of these domains, however they are at different levels of technical maturity and scalability. As the overall Global Supply Chain and Logistics (GSCL) team modernizes technology and capabilities end-to-end, our domestic inbound network must have the tools and technology to ensure a seamless hand-off and customer experiencein our domestic replenishment process.

The desired candidate for this role would have a strong background in supply chain andtransportation operations.We are seeking an individual with demonstrated product expertise in both build and buy software implementations. This individual has experience both working with upstream and downstream dependent teams/servicesto define needs and co-plan deliverables and feature development within a broader product vision.Practical experience across the product lifecycle involving discovery,design, roadmap development, and incremental value delivery is a plus. Experience and familiarity with supply chain system interoperability across a broad ecosystem (vendor, purchasing,wms,tms,edi, freight payment, etc.) is vital for this role.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through productsand servicesthat are easy to use, easily maintained,and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Lead Product Owner, you will work in the product model and will lead the development of a comprehensive product strategy and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product domain. You will need to leverage extensive knowledge of your product, as well as, customer feedback, key data and analytics, and other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product.You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the "voice of the product" to allkeystakeholders advocating for your product and ensuring their needs are met and that the product team is getting the leadership and support that it needs to be successful.You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as, inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will fosterasense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of retail, transportation, product management, or equivalent domain experience
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication betweeninternal and external (third-party)business and technology teams
  • Proven track record of developing a strategic vision, gaining consensus and buy-in, and breaking down work in increments to achieve a broader goal
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence peers, key stakeholders,and leaders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, both within domain and cross-pyramid
  • Experienceworking in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and requisite integrations
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Experience withthird-party SaaS implementations involving integration withtransportation& ERPsystems
  • Experience with Transportation/Distribution/Vendor Operations
  • Systems experience or technical background
