DEVELOPER

Digital Content Developer sought by NCS Pearson, Inc., in Bloomington, MN. 40 hrs./wk. Work with cross-functional teams, facilitate, determine & document functional specifications, use cases, & workflow process diagrams using interviews, document analysis, product research, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions & scenarios. Contribute to development & elaboration of user stories with cross-functional teams. Obtain agreement by stakeholders & recipients to scope & requirements & establish base-line on which delivery of solution can commence. Manage requests for & application of changes to base-lined requirements. Identify areas of scope ambiguity & drive to resolution in timely manner. Collaborate with developers, product managers, research directors, & subject matter experts to establish technical vision & analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance, cost, & product needs. With product owners & teams, lead digital feature/product implementation &/or source third party solutions when appropriate. Partner with technical resources to define & document system requirements, architecture, & specifications. Lead & participate in collaborative multi-disciplinary work sessions & development sprints to adapt requirements as needed. Execute report coding, unit testing & code reviews, fully & properly test code to ensure highest levels of reliability & maintainability.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent; & 3 years of experience as a Digital Content Developer, Business Analyst, System Analyst, Architect, Developer or related position. Experience in test development or writing functional requirements for software. Experience using Java or another structured programming language, HTML, &/or XML, C, C#, C++, etc. Demonstrated project management experience dealing with global business units.
