ACCOUNT MANAGER - STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Position Description This position is responsible for developing and managing products that UCare offers through arrangements with strategic business partners, including but not limited to provider organizations and third party administrators. Including products within existing business lines in UCare's current service area, including Medicare Supplement and Group Medicare. Develop and maintain relationships, manage business opportunities, and work with Product Managers and other UCare leaders in support of the products. Develop and oversee product governance structures and address escalated issues.

• Develop and implement strategies to build and advance partnership products. Serve as liaison between UCare and partner organizations, to ensure that products meet expectations of the partners and UCare leadership.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Marketing Leads, determine each product's design, place in the larger portfolio, and strategic direction. Develop and implement annual plan(s) for partnership products.

• Provide administrative leadership for governance bodies, work groups and other teams established to oversee the partnership products. Chair or staff each of these groups.

• Maintain an understanding of partnership products, including benefits, operational features and roles/responsibilities of UCare and partners. Serve as point person for resolution of cross-departmental and cross-organizational product issues.

• Serve as the subject matter expert and advocate for partnership products.

• Provide strategic guidance to functional areas and participate in relevant committees and workgroups at UCare. Provide market and analytic support to evaluate and recommend improvements and new business opportunities regarding partnership products.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the company on new partnership product implementation, annual readiness and related activities.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, health care/public administration, or related field required. Masters level degree preferred. Demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience Five years of experience in a health care organization with managerial responsibility for product performance or relationship management. Ability to work in a matrix environment and possess the ability to lead a cross-departmental team. Working knowledge of Medicare Supplement and/or Medicare Advantage plans and general health plan functions including: operations, marketing/sales, compliance, information systems, data analysis and clinical.

Preferred Experience Expertise in state, federal and commercial health care programs and products. Account management, product management or business development experience at a health plan and/or health system. Experience in new product development and launch. Product performance responsibility in a matrix environment.
