SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR - .NET - MINNEAPOLIS, MN

Position Description

The Software Engineer Senior - .NET will be responsible to design, develop, implement, test and analyze software applications in an Agile environment as part of the digital web service team supporting web, SharePoint, mobile and other digital initiatives. Collaborate across the business (including with projects leads, business analysts, internal end users and third-party contacts) to gather requirements and improve the design and implementation of software applications. Plan specific phases within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Work with Azure Cloud Integrations, Azure API Management, Deployment Automation and developing Microservices. Work as part of a cross-functional software development team, software architects, technical leads and managers to assist in resolving technical problems. Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general technical debugging. Prepare documentation of software requirements and specifications. Develop Microsoft SQL databases. Research requirements of software users and collaborate with other engineers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new applications. Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process. Work with various tools/technologies including: Windows Operating System, Internet Information Services (IIS), .Net Core, SQL Server Management Studio, REST services, ASP.net and C#.

Education

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field of study.

Required Experience

Qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of software development experience working with the following tools/technologies: Windows Operating System, Internet Information Services (IIS), .Net Core, SQL Server Management Studio, REST services, ASP.net and C#. Qualified applicant must have 2 years (24 months) of experience (a) contributing to all Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases including requirements gathering, designing, development, testing, code reviewing and deployment, (b) developing REST services for web and mobile applications, (c) developing databases and stored procedures, and (d) working with enterprise applications. All experience may be gained concurrently, before, during or after Master's program.
