Description:
About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Target's distinctive brand love is infused throughout its many physical locations by the Properties teams. We have a direct and positive impact on the real estate, design, construction and maintenance of our stores, distribution centers and headquarters. Are you ready to help strategically grow Target's brand through leading-edge design, development, construction and preservation? Can you effectively balance the efficiencies of a large-design build company with the unique challenges and innovative solutions required by individual sites? Then take your place on one of our Properties teams, and help us make the most of Target's physical assets, both in the U.S. and overseas.

A role in Construction means leading the execution of store and distribution center projects. From large program rollouts to unique special projects, or large ground-up construction, you'll help manage the scope, schedule, and budget for all Target construction projects, including adhering to the project timeline, coordinating and overseeing the onsite construction process and turnover. You'll keep all of the players and partners aligned with effective communication between vendors, general contractors, field leadership and project teams.

As an Owner's Site Representative, using effective communication, coaching and conflict resolution skills, you will keep all field leadership and project teams aligned, build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, manage contractor performance, and identify and lead resolution to issues (design conflicts, inventory management, personnel challenges). In this role, you will maintain accountability for safety protocol, adherence to plans and specifications, contractor use of technology, and timely closeout of projects. You will interpret architectural and engineering documents to lead your project teams and to prepare required construction reports, schedules, and other documents. You will support Project Manager(s) in managing financial details of assigned projects (bids, contracts, change orders, invoices, supporting documentation). You will ensure scope and schedule are executed as planned and expected consistency is maintained across a program. Additionally, you will ensure timely execution of change. You will deliver the Construction Turnover Package to Operations and Properties partners and orient them to their building upon completion. You will identify the need for process improvement for Field personnel, the Construction Team, and the Company. You will advocate for Target's workforce development goals in the industry.
