A role with Process Operations means a big opportunity to understand and improve strategies that fuel behind-the-scenes processes like truck unloading, inventory replenishment, and backroom organization keeping stores in stock to ensure guests find what they are looking for (and more).

As a Senior Business Partner in Operations Planning & Design, you will be responsible for:
  • Working with remodel, new stores, construction and store design teams to determine the best solutions for backroom space during planning and construction cycles
  • Understanding and applying current backroom space criteria rules across our portfolio of stores
  • Independently supporting and leading projects that minimize store backroom space challenges through partnership with stores teams, leaders and key headquarters partners
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with store design, construction, remodel and new stores teams to effectively influence the results of backroom construction projects
  • Maintain close contact with the field team to understand operational opportunities and solicit feedback including active issue resolution to problems.
  • Champion Target's Purpose, Beliefs, and Behaviors across teams and while delivering upon business opportunities
  • Job duties may change at any time due to business needs


About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a retail operations environment or logistics operations
  • Ability to drive organizational change
  • Project and process management/ownership experience
  • Experience operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and in high intensity situations
  • Ability to challenge upward and challenge the status quo
  • Ability to resolve problems that are without clear precedent
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership and conflict management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Stores backroom space management experience preferred
  • Retail/Supply Chain experience preferred
