DRC is seeking an intelligent and motivated Quantitative Analyst / Data Scientist with a quantitative social science and/or research background. This position is for a Data Scientist with increased responsibilities related to client communication, business marketing, and establishing new client relationships while working in a collaborative environment.
This is a hands-on role, requiring leadership skills and the ability to work with and leverage resources to help elevate our descriptive analysis, diagnostic analysis, predictive analysis, and prescriptive analysis capabilities. This individual’s primary responsibility would be to grow and support our portfolio of clients and research projects. This individual will provide insights, solutions, and opportunities with our clients to enhance organizational decision making.
Quantitative Analyst / Data Scientists should have experience with reporting systems, BI tools, analytics tools, data science tools, engineering patterns, and a keen interest in discovering underlying insight from vast amounts of data. Will also be involved in proposals as we continue to grow our Research and Analytics offerings to our clients.
Providing subject matter expertise on appropriate sophisticated analytic techniques and capabilities to identify and model potential measures and data sources for client offerings.
Coordinating research reports/briefs for both analyst and non-technical audiences, written proposals, and other internal or external communications summarizing research methods, findings, and implications.
Partnering with team members and clients to understand their needs, manage their expectations, and communicate the most pertinent results to them in a way that is applicable to their business needs and easy to understand.
Supporting senior management to develop business strategies and successful execution of strategies.
Collaborating with the Analytics team on the development of a robust Data Framework and Quality Assurance best practices that deliver clean/usable data including consistent data sources and data extraction techniques, policies, and support framework; developing our data mining, discovery, and automated algorithm techniques; AI and Machine Learning; requirement analysis and interpretation; communication and costing framework
Working with a mixed team of developers, psychometricians, leadership, and clients to analyze and create metrics and explore, aggregate, and analyze large, complex quantitative data sets through a variety of techniques.
Coordination with team members, subcontractors, and cross-division teams.
Completes project work on time, in line with contract requirements and client expectations.
Evangelize concepts beyond current offerings and consider business model innovation in the context of the larger competitive market to further develop our analytics and Research offerings.
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
2+ years of experience (post-degree) in a Data Scientist, Quantitative social science, or Researcher role
Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member
Familiarity with Reporting technologies with experience developing or working with vast quantities of data; delivering insightful visualizations of data; and a strong fundamental understanding of how to create comprehensive solutions.
Familiarity with reporting systems such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI
Demonstration of strong verbal and written communications skills.

Advanced degree in data science, quantitative social science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
Essential Job Requirements:

Ensure team on-call responsibilities are met and/or orchestrate after-hours support with your staff when necessary.
