Responsibilities:
Manage and support of the accounting department team in the daily and monthly accounting functions, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger transactions, and financial reporting.
Set-up all projects in compliance with all requirements, including routine review with PM’s of job cost and income records for completeness, including change orders, contract amounts, estimated costs, committed costs, labor and leased labor. Prepare reports for management.
Accountable for all aspects of service management work orders and billing, project job costing, AIA billings, payroll tax reporting, sales and use tax returns, retention calculations, and related matters
Responsible for general ledger activity and transactions ensuring consistent compliance
Analyze reports, records, and financial data.
Review job costs reports and project cost tracing reports for accuracy with budget monthly.
Work Project Managers to ensure the project is on track from an accounting standpoint
Update and maintain accounting within schedules
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting major preferred
3-5 years of prior construction and/or project accounting experience (Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices)
Must be well organized, possess attention to detail, able to multi-task, understand the need to document work and can work with several different project managers concurrently.
