BUSINESS ANALYST SENIOR - TECHNICAL (ACCUMULATORS)

Position Description

This position is responsible to manage claims accumulator data to ensure it is collected, distributed and applied correctly to facilitate timely and accurate claims adjudication and reporting to members, providers, delegates and internal stakeholders. Act as UCare single point of contact for claims accumulators, including UCare and delegate accumulator data. Act as accumulator business and process owner collaborating with resources in IT, PRC, Pharmacy and CCO to identify and document issues, confirm root cause and develop and deploy solutions that ensure accuracy and optimize member experience. Collect and analyze data and report findings and recommendations. Plan, document requirements, and design and document business processes; make recommendations for change in order to improve member/provider experience and/or employee engagement and enhance department efficiency. Manage process and technology enhancements throughout the project life cycle including but not limited to defining requirements, authoring various project-related documents, managing communication and relationships, and assisting with project validation through test planning and execution. Work alongside business and technical teams to increase collaboration and optimize productivity and communication. Ensure requirements and solutions conform to departmental, corporate, industry and government standards as specified.

• Act as the single point of contact for accumulator processes, issues and opportunities. Act as business and process owner for accumulator data in HealthRules. Act as accumulators subject matter expert within and outside of CCO to understand and address up and downstream implications of accumulator process changes or enhancements.

• Collaborate with CCO Leadership to identify and implement repeatable and sustainable process improvement efforts involving enhancements to end-to-end accumulator processes, reporting and/or tools to increase department effectiveness and efficiency.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to perform analysis, define business requirements, and implement innovative solutions that solve business problems and support CCO Department Plan.

• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboard capabilities to enhance the visibility, quality and communication of departmental metrics.

• Develop and maintain inventory of accumulator artifacts, end-to-end process maps, documents and reports. Optimize availability and delivery of accumulator documents, training material and reports for staff and leaders.

• Develop and implement process controls. Collect baseline and post-implementation measures to ensure solutions deliver desired business benefit.

• Develop business requirements, complete business analysis for department technical projects outside of the accumulator domain.

• Provide support for other EDI and Technical team functions including, but not limited to EOB data reconciliation, issue analysis and process improvement.

• Committee, project and/or work group representation as agreed upon with Manager.

• Mentor and coach CCO staff and leaders on accumulator processes and technologies.Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff of other departments including Provider Relations & Contracting, Healthcare Economics, Provider Assistance Center, Government Relations, Product, and Coverage Policy.

Education
Bachelor's degree in business or technology; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of HealthPlan Operations experience. Five years of business or data analysis experience. Three years of project management experience. Three years of process improvement experience. Proven facilitation and communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. SQL knowledge.
Preferred Experience

Previous experience working with and/or managing medical accumulator data. Microsoft Project; Visio; Technical writing.
