A role with Space, Presentation & Transitions (SPT) means you're on a mission to create better store space and experiences for our guest while maximizing sales. We are responsible for ensuring the right item is on the right shelf in the right store. On the Space side, we do this by using analytics to determine the appropriate footage for each assortment for every store ("adjacency"). Each store's assortment is assigned to a planogram (POG) which is developed in Presentation to ensure the localized assortment meets presentation objectives and is associated to the correct location in a store. We believe that making increasingly better space allocation and presentation decisions will increase sales, improve guest satisfaction and reduce out-of-stocks. Here, you'll partner with and manage cross-functional project teams in Merchandising, Store Design, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations and Non-Retail Procurement from strategy to execution to achieve an inspiring and convenient in-store guest experience.

The Director of Space, Presentation & Transitions (SPT) will develop and lead pyramid level space and presentation strategies that vary between 1800 stores, formats and timeframes. You will lead a team of approximately 20 team members through complex enterprise decisions while governing presentation architecture and space strategy. You will partner with our key merchandising partners and develop & lead all presentation and space components of our merchandising strategy. You will ensure overall space usage of our store is adhered through internal and external governance, lead adjacency and planogram development across our global team and flawless execute cycles of new stores and remodels by varying prototype and set dates.

About You:

• 8-10 years professional experience in merchandising or retail
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong ability to tie pyramid level strategies to the most highly visible and profitable assets within a company
• Strong team & cross functional leadership experience and ability to engage and inspire others
• Strong understanding and experience working with global teams
• Excellent understanding of data science and experience working with category managers
• Ability to demonstrate courage, think critically & strategically, and analytical abilities with a proven track record of strong results
• Demonstrated ability of communicating a strategic vision and engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve a shared vision.
• Experience managing large or complex projects and comfort with ambiguity.
• Comfortable taking risks, working through change and supporting creativity.
