Extrusion Machine Operator
Job Details
Job Summary: The extrusion operator will include but not be limited to extrusion processing through various equipment and use of tools to achieve the correct tolerances and contour requirements for production. Must operate PLC controlled equipment, must perform minor equipment repair and maintenance to keep extrusion equipment operational. Operator tasks will include inspecting, stacking, racking, labeling, printing, moving, and sorting product; willingness to accept other duties as assigned per internal and customer requirements and assist in maintaining the flow of raw materials for uninterrupted production. Operator will communicate issues, and follow directives. Responsibilities: Proficiently operate several PLC controlled equipment. To mechanically adjust machines using basic hand tools, screw drives, Allen wrenches, and regular wrenches, and use of LOTO etc. Perform minor equipment repair and maintenance to keep extrusion equipment operating. Perform extruder operator tasks such as stacking, racking, labeling, printing, and sorting. Stand for 12 hours a day running equipment without sitting down except on breaks and lunch times. Must be able to work weekends and holidays Required Skills / Experience 2 years’ Extrusion/extruder operations or related manufacturing of Thermoplastic foam Lifting requirement- 50 lbs. continually Standing requirement- 95% of 12 hrs.
