A role in the Controller's Group/Finance Ops calls on your skills for quality financial and inventory reporting and accurate financials and technical accounting while providing thoughtful and responsive support, expertise and guidance to business partners. Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Target's business initiatives and core retail operations.

A role as IAA Inventory Operations is integral to Target's Physical Inventory strategy, ensuring the integrity of Targets financial and unit inventory. The position will call on your skills to lead the physical inventory processes for Target Stores and Distribution Centers, ensuring accurate and timely results.

As a Sr IAA Operations Analyst, you will engage with stores, distribution centers and Inventory Service vendors. You will travel to store and distribution center locations to ensure accurate and timely physical inventory processes. You will also provide on-call support on a rotational basis during overnight hours. You will be assigned a market and will monitor physical inventory performance and trouble shoot physical inventory related issues with internal and external partners. You will also be assigned special projects such as scheduling, updating physical inventory process materials, controls and control documentation, review reporting, and other special projects, as needed. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equilivant experience.
  • Previous physical inventory or store experience desired
  • Must be willing to travel, approx. 30% with heavier travel periods needed
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, conflict management skills and influencing without authority
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable working through challenges
  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships across the enterprise, including the Field, and vendors
  • High level of initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Project and process management experience
  • Micosoft Office Proficient, advanced Excel and Access skills desired
