DUTIES
In search of an enthusiastic and motivated Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator to provide for the physical, mental, psychological and spiritual needs of each resident with the goal of improving the resident's quality of life.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification through NCCAP, CTRS, COTA or degree in a human services related field is preferred.
Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification
One or more years experience planning and facilitating therapeutic recreation programs in a long term care, dementia setting, or other health care setting preferred.
Must have general computer skills and be comfortable learning other computer skills (ipad apps, virtual reality...)

DUTIES

- Plans and performs group and one to one activities appropriate to the needs and preferences of each resident and encourages participation.
- Participate as a member of an inter-disciplinary team to assess and address resident needs
- Work with the therapeutic recreation team in scheduling campus wide programs, outings and events.
- Drives Masonic Home vehicles and transports ambulatory and wheelchair residents on outings.
- Ability to complete and maintain MDS, Assessments, Care Plans, and Progress notes.
- Must have good time management and complete tasks by assigned deadlines.
