FINANCIAL ANALYST SENIOR

Position Description

This position is responsible to ensure financial and operational project reporting and measurement controls and processes are effective and operating as designed for all activities reported within the Company's Project Portfolio. Implement enhancements and correction actions where necessary. Deliver accurate project performance and identification of actions steps needed for Project Managers and business owner(s). Support the treasury functions, cashflow projections, competitor analysis, ORSA support, and adhoc analysis as defined by the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller. Support controllership function on appropriate accounting treatment of project related transactions. Create and update a "pipeline" opportunity forecast, assist project managers with resource forecasts, and continue to build out more robust Company Project Portfolio process, which will include creating various financial cost/benefit models.

• Support the financial reporting of approved Company Project Portfolio projects. Assist Project Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) and/or project managers, and business owner(s) on decisions related to approved projects. This will be accomplished through aligning PMO, business owners, and finance on the frequency and source of operational and financial metrics. This role will be a key consultative finance partner in identification of operational metrics. This role will own ensuring the actual financial metrics can be measured against expected outcomes. This will be accomplished by working collaboratively with various key stakeholders and leveraging data housed in various systems.

• Collaborate with business owner(s) and identified subject matter experts to accumulate and report on the measurable financial cost/benefit analysis of proposed projects coming into the Company's Project Portfolio. Creating various financial cost/benefit modeling depending upon the project.

• Responsible for treasury functions (bank account structure, funding, investment strategies), cashflow projections, competitor analysis (using the annual 990's, or other ad hoc projects), ORSA support, and adhoc analysis as defined by the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller.

• Collaborate with Account Payable to ensure projects and related purchase orders are set up timely, accurately, and at the appropriate level of detail.

• Collaborate with PMO and business owner(s) to ensure contractors are held accountable to report hours worked timely, and project percent completion is timely and accurately known.

• Responsible for reconciliation of hours and rates charged by external vendors are in alignment with hours worked by contractors. Responsible for timely notification to PMO and business owners on any discrepancies identified.

• Support controllership function on appropriate accounting treatment of project related transactions. Review month end project activity against general ledger invoices paid and assist controllership function with month end expense accruals.

• Collaborate cross functionally to implement enhancements to current capital approval process, reporting, and measurement.

• Create and update a "pipeline" opportunity forecast, assist project managers with resource forecasts, and build out more robust Company Project Portfolio process.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Required Experience

Three years accounting or finance experience. PC experience including Microsoft products and advanced spreadsheet abilities.

Preferred Experience

Ability to create financial cost/benefit models, treasury, CPA, prior healthcare, and Public accounting experience preferred. Project or business case creation and measurement would be ideal.
