The Owned Brand Strategy & Operations team within OBS&D is comprised of pipeline managers, project managers, operations managers, and technology and data analysts. As a Sr. Project Pipeline Manager, you will create, lead and manage, with your peers, a new capability of Project pipeline management within our new operating model. A Sr. Project Pipeline Manager is responsible for co-creating the capability, building out the capability through pilots and tests, assisting in roll out, and managing the connective space between strategy and projects. This includes establishing and facilitating project pipeline prioritization routines, project intake & activation, pipeline analysis & scenario planning, and resource management. You will need to work closely with cross functional partners within Owned Brands and the Enterprise.

This exciting capability is new and the Sr. Project Pipeline Managers will also need to help influence all levels of the organization as you vet the PPM/OBM process with enterprise leaders: brand management, assortment planning, LTO/partnerships, & innovation. In tandem of helping to create, build and scale this capability, a Sr. Manager will assist in creating the necessary tools to help with training and the change management process.

PPM Build & Crawl Process
  • Participate in strategy build sessions of crawl, walk, run of PPM
  • Partner with building the process framework and tools to carry out PPM
  • Work with PPM Directors to iterate for business pyramids and pilot roll outs
  • Problem solve autonomously throughout OBM operating model
  • Create training documents, data governance, and change management tools to aide in the role out of the new capability

OB Prioritization Meeting Routines
  • Responsible for developing project pipeline recommendations for Sr. Leaders based on strategic fit, project ROI and resource capacity in order to successfully meet our financial and impact goals
  • Provide analysis and meaningful data visualization of pipeline data to ensure the right mix of projects, understanding of risks and right capabilities to maximize the value of the pipeline
  • Assess impact and recommend course of action for adding new projects to pipeline
  • Schedule and facilitate OB leader prioritization decision making meetings on monthly or quarterly cadence; communicates and implements decisions to broader team
  • Create a Pipeline horizon that is a 36-month view to include active projects in-flight and proposed future projects preparing for activation
  • Work closely with project managers and SME's to prepare analysis and recommendations in advance for meeting

Pipeline Analysis & Scenario Planning
  • Monitor project pipeline health and provide meaningful analysis and data visualization
  • Develop alternative scenarios to optimize the pipeline value within the current constraints of the business and propose options to unlock greater value over a 36-month horizon

Project Intake and Activation
  • Responsible for working closely with teams from the PPM opportunity funnel (brand management, assortment planning, product operations, LTO/Partnerships, and Innovation).
  • Facilitate project activation with project managers as approved (or pre-approved) in prioritization meetings

Resource Management
  • Work on current state modeling of resource management & modeling
  • Works closely with project management to ensure teams are sufficient resourced
  • Responsible for estimating resource demand at the role/AOE level for projects in the repository
  • Responsible for ensuring all resource data is up to date in the pipeline management tool
  • Analyze resource demand vs. capacity; and develop scenario recommendations

About you:
  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of retail, brand and/or product development/sourcing experience
  • Experience with pipeline/portfolios management processes and disciplines
  • Strength at understanding and analyzing data, scenario analysis, building compelling data visualization/storytelling to influence leader decisions on prioritization
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence cross functionally and building trust.
  • Expert at working in an ambiguous environment and self-activator

  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, and driving toward our vision
  • Smartsheet & 10K feet experience a plus
