Join our team as a Cyber Fraud and Abuse Detection Engineer and take the lead as you develop custom detection and automate investigation tasks for fraud and abuse across the Target Guest experience. As a Lead Engineer, you will work across teams and be accountable for delivery of yourself and the team. In this role, you will contribute to product roadmaps and collaborate as you work among a team of skilled engineers and analysts to reliably solve complex problems, while getting hands-on experience with cutting edge technologies. We are looking for skilled developers and analysts with experience creating code in at least one of the following: Rust, Java, Python, R, SQL, Scala, C/C++/C#, or JavaScript. Other relevant and commonly used technologies include kubernetes and kafka. Don't know much about security or fraud? That's okay: just show us you're interested, motivated, and want to learn. Additional skills and experience we are interested in:
· Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred
Experience writing queries for Hive, Spark, Elasticsearch, postgres or other database technologies
· Experience with data analysis or machine learning
Experience in cyber threat or fraud detection
Demonstrated understanding of common web application technologies and basic networking knowledge
Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and adaptive learning
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Understanding of fundamental security concepts
· Willing to work in a team-oriented environment
