The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is looking for a Charitable Giving Specialist!
Job Summary: The Charitable Giving Specialist is responsible to Collect and prepare information for the submission of grants and contract proposals and consideration of charitable giving requests.Manage the end-to-end process of charitable giving for the SMSC while assuring flawless execution and follow up with internal partners.Responsible for coordinating and facilitating internal auditing, reporting, planning and implementation of grant and contract proposals and charitable giving requests and ability to development internal controls, policies and procedures for successful office operations.Manage grant, contract and charitable giving expenses to assist in formulating office budget requirements and processes.Coordinate with other tribal entities that have direct contact/business with SMSC to assure their contract, grant, and charitable giving requirements are met.Lead, manage internal outreach programs at SMSC, deliver results, engage employees and team members, while building the program both internally and externally. Budget/Asset Responsibilities: Manage grant, contract and charitable giving expenses to assist in formulating office budget requirements and processes. Relationship Building:

- Develops strategic plans to contact, engage and solicit tribal partnerships
- Cultivates ongoing relationships with tribal partners, employees, & community members
- Serves as primary liaison between internal partners such as Business Council, Marketing & Finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build consensus among multiple and conflicting interests and priorities sufficient to resolve problems between business clients, workgroup members, and government agencies.
- Must have the experience in managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to research and interpret federal, state and tribal ordinances sufficient to apply them to business problems.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

- Ability to handle confidential financial records, grant materials, and SMSC information with great discretion.
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient with The Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Uniform Administrative Requirements -- 2 CFR 200 guidelines.
- Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Office and database management and reports, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient with the U.S. Government Accountability Office Green Book and the guidelines and regulations associated.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- Minimum of 5 years' successful grant, contract, and charitable giving research and writing experience.
