Job Description Job Summary:   As brand steward, this role is responsible for leading strategic brand planning and creative, advertising efforts and marketing operations for Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and Little Six Casino. This role is focused on ensuring creative, marketing, media and guest experience are tightly integrated. The Brand Marketing Leader is the creative and media champion, driving the day-to-day management of brand marketing programs through creative brief development, management of creative reviews, development and implementation of testing plans, and interpretation of creative performance results. This role oversees the creative strategy, design, implementation and maintenance of all brand advertising and communication initiatives to ensure optimal message effectiveness and overall brand synergy. They will work in close collaboration with key department stakeholders across the organization to manage their creative communication needs, marketing programs and other initiatives in a senior consultancy and client relationship capacity. This includes spearheading both traditional and digital projects.   Budget/Asset Responsibilities:   Prepares and maintains the budget for brand marketing projects. Reports variances and submits supporting documentation on departmental activity.   Job Duties:  
  • Responsible for leading the brand teams including creative, media and marketing operations while providing mentorship, guidance and training.
  • Leads the development and implementation of on-brand enterprise communication and activations across brand, strategic partnerships, sponsorships and internal engagements.
  • Develops guest-centric, culturally relevant marketing strategies and media plans that build the brands and deliver on business goals. Leads the development of brand marketing campaigns and programs across owned and paid marketing channels such as social, web, app, email, PR, digital display, OOH, broadcast, streaming, endorsements, influencers and other emerging channels.
  • Develops, produces and implements brand communication frameworks (guidelines, toolkits etc.) and helps to scale learnings across the SMSC GE to help drive brand advocacy and alignment from within.
  • Leads the media team and sets the strategy for creating engaging, brand-right social media content across our social channels, while charting the strategy for community management and digital engagement. Supports issues management, monitoring and social crisis communications.
  • Responsible for mapping the brand's identity, understanding guest personas and bringing cohesion across our guest engagements and the media, moments and messages we deliver.
  • Oversees the marketing workflow process and leads the Marketing Operations Team. Responsible for reporting on project status, issues, and helping to find resolutions to problems that arise during process.
  • Establishes KPIs and other success metrics to effectively perform analysis of brand marketing campaigns.
  • Applies market research and development methods to account for emerging trends.
  • Oversees competitor presence/perceptions, plus overall brand sentiment.
  • Collaborates with internal marketing teams to optimize and execute strategies developed in context of channel best practices based off of KPIs.
  • Identifies the training and development needs of team members and provide opportunities which enable them to reach their full potential.
Days Monday - Friday Hiring Rate or Hiring Range 1. Based on Qualifications Requirements Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:  
  1. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, design or similar required.
  2. 8+ years of experience in brand marketing management, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house creative communications.
  3. Experience with conception and execution of brand development and strategy identification within entertainment, gaming, retail, hospitality or tourism and travel preferred.
  4. Successful portfolio of work that you're associated with.
  5. Previous experience in the development and implementation of brand campaign planning and strategies within advertising, and a strong familiarity with digital and social media best practices.
  6. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends and present key findings (quantitative and analytic skills) and then apply to future programs.
  7. Financial acumen to include experience in budgeting, reporting and forecasting.
  8. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels.
  9. Creative, responsible, high-energy, eager to work with other departments to support their marketing needs.
  10. Passion for attracting, retaining, engaging, and building talent.
  11. Exceptional writing, communications and interpersonal skills.
  12. Excellent organization and project management skills to include managing time to ensure timely execution of projects as well as the ability to schedule and manage other's time
